“Here you go… you should be careful not to eat too much too fast now,” Mrs. Lee said. “You don’t want to get a stomach ache.”
Jack said nothing as he handed over some money for the bread. “Nice seeing y-you again Mrs. Lee.”
“You too! Don’t be such a stranger, all right?”
“Hope to see you soon!” Katelynn called, waving at the kind woman as they walked away from her stall. “I like her! I hope I really do get to come back and visit sometime..her bread smells so good! No bakery in Metro City smells like that.”
She crossed off meat and bread from the list. Fruits and vegetables was next and this time she couldn’t stop a groan. “Just need the veggie part of the food group..and some fruit…”
Jack looked concerned as she groaned. “Katelynn, are you all right…? Are you sure you don’t feel sick? Do you want to sit down? I could go and get the vegetables and fruits myself…” he offered.
