Taking a Trip

will-never-be-a-swan:

wrapped-in-shadows:

“I’m very well thank you! So, Jack, the usual?” she asked as Mark was already picking up a loaf of Dutch bread.

“Y-yes please. Just a small one, we’re only here tonight.” he explained.

“Your bread smells amazing, by the way,” Katelynn complimented, all smiles now, her hair curtaining her sides. “I can’t wait try it! I’m probably going to eat it all by myself at this rate.”

She was, of course, being honest, except she knew she would never be able to eat that much bread alone.

“Here you go… you should be careful not to eat too much too fast now,” Mrs. Lee said. “You don’t want to get a stomach ache.”

Jack said nothing as he handed over some money for the bread. “Nice seeing y-you again Mrs. Lee.”

“You too! Don’t be such a stranger, all right?”
