Sally smiled, reached out, and ran a hand down one of Jack’s arms. “Very good.” she said in a tone that didn’t rightly sound correct. “You should stop by our stall Jack, we’ve got all sorts of fruits and vegetables we grow in our greenhouses.” she added. “I’ll give you a discount and everything.”
Jack smiled at her, and nodded his head once. “S-sure! We will.”
She wasn’t sure about the gesture, blinking as it had happened right before her eyes, but Katelynn felt like someone had taken her stomach and twisted it slightly then poured hot lava to hurt her further. Wasn’t that gesture a tad friendly or was she being ridiculous?
Katelynn had never thought to worry over other women before but for some reason she was getting a prickling from Sally.
Sally smiled at him and nodded to Katelynn before vanishing into the crowd, and was soon gone, lost among all the people.
Jack waved after her slightly before looking down at Katelynn. “All right, w-what’s on the list?” he asked.
