“Washington? Wow, political girl!” Sally grinned, “I’m kidding, I’m kidding. And yes, we do don’t we Jack?” she asked, looking up at him since she was a mere five foot two next to Jack’s five foot five.
“Mm.” he nodded his head once.
“My big brother used to help on Jack’s family land and I saw him a few times. He was the mystery of the town, back then.” she explained to Katelynn, letting go of her hand. “He rarely left the land.”
She was taller than Katelynn too, making the poor brunette feel rather small. Just a little bit though. But she was interested in learning more about Jack and paid attention to her words.
“Oh then I guess you two are good friends then.”
Sally smiled, reached out, and ran a hand down one of Jack’s arms. “Very good.” she said in a tone that didn’t rightly sound correct. “You should stop by our stall Jack, we’ve got all sorts of fruits and vegetables we grow in our greenhouses.” she added. “I’ll give you a discount and everything.”
Jack smiled at her, and nodded his head once. “S-sure! We will.”
