Taking a Trip

wrapped-in-shadows:

Jack walked along with her, also missing the whistle. After all he was too busy looking around at the stalls. So many familiar faces; though he hadn’t seen them that often what with his fear of crowds.

The fact he was out here alone was getting them some stares, and not just because he had blue skin.

“Jack?” one voice said.

“Jack’s back?”

“Jack left?”

“Jack!”

A young woman with black hair came out from one of the stalls, blue eyes wide.

“Sally?” Jack asked.

“Jack it is you!” Sally said, clasping her hands together. “You’re back from the big city!”

“Y-yeah… only f-for a little while.” he admitted before blinking, and looking to Katelynn. “K-Katelynn. T-this is Sally Marshall. S-Sally, this is Katelynn Foster. My girlfriend.”

“H-Hello..” Katelynn greeted softly, a bit intimidated by the pretty woman. She tried staying close to Jack’s side, not out of jealousy or anything but just a bit of fear. She still extended her hand out for the young woman to shake. “Nice to meet you.”

“Girlfriend?” Sally asked, looking a little surprised at first but then smiled, and took Katelynn’s hand into hers. “Oh it’s so nice to meet you! Are you from Metro City?” she asked.
