“Have a good day, and don’t be a stranger now.” Sally said, mostly to Jack, who gathered up what was left and walked away, moving with Katelynn as he did.
Of course he saw her nervous actions. How could he not? Jack watched her quietly, before looking over his shoulder at Sally who was already lost in the sea of people. He looked down at Katelynn, before speaking quietly.
“…Katelynn…?”
”..Hmm..?” she responded softly, hair still in her hand so she could play with it to distract herself from a bit of the pain. She was walking back toward the path that led to the cottage, sadly forgetting she had wanted to take a few pictures here.
“Didn’t… didn’t you want to go take some photos?” he asked, hoping the idea of taking pictures would cheer her up. “W-we have so many opportunities…”
