“So are you going to teach her, Jack?” Sally asked as she passed him another bag, which e placed in theirs for carrying.
“I, I don’t know. I like baking.” he admits weakly.
“Oh I know that.” she replied with a smile before telling him the price. Jack opened is wallet and handed over the money to her, hands brushing as they passed the money. “So there you go…!”
“O-Oh and some grapes please,” Katelynn asked, almost forgetting. “Red seedless or..the ones with seeds. Whichever are sweeter..” In all of the rush of feelings she had almost forgotten she wanted some for munching on. She took her own money out. “A pound of grapes..yeah..”
“We don’t have red seedless.” Sally said in a ‘sorry but not really’ voice, before picking up some green ones. “All we have are these. This time of year and all.”
“W-we can manage.” Jack said quietly, putting his hand on Katelynn’s hand, pushing it away and pays for the grapes.
